A stunning 21-year-old Brazilian social media influencer with over 100,000 followers—who had recently been released on bail after being implicated in the murder of a retired police officer—was gunned down in the street shortly after returning home. In the early hours of the morning, two assailants broke into her house and forcibly dragged her from her room to the street, where they shot her dead. The brutal incident unfolded right before her father’s eyes; after the killing, the gunmen spray-painted a gang symbol on the wall before fleeing, leading to suspicions that she was executed by a criminal gang.

According to the New York Post, this bloody, unsolved case took place in Mãe do Rio, in the northeastern Brazilian state of Pará. The victim was 21-year-old influencer Evelyn Lima Dantas. Known for her striking beauty, she frequently shared content about her travels, parties, and beauty routines on social media, amassing over 100,000 followers and becoming a local celebrity.

However, beneath this glamorous, sunny exterior, Evelyn had repeatedly drawn police attention. Investigations revealed she had previously been arrested for allegedly aiding a gang in drug trafficking. On July 29 of this year, Antônio Anildo Alves da Silva, a 56-year-old retired police officer, was gunned down by four masked assassins outside a supermarket. Investigators suspected Evelyn of providing covert assistance prior to the attack and placed her in preventive detention; she was only granted bail and allowed to return home on September 9.

Tragedy struck less than a month after her release. Evelyn’s father gave a heart-wrenching account to the police, stating that around 3:30 a.m. last Wednesday, two masked men forced their way into the home and subdued him. They then rushed into Evelyn’s room, grabbed her, and forcibly dragged the screaming young woman out onto the street. The gunmen then shot her repeatedly in front of her father, killing her instantly; her body had to be temporarily covered with a bedsheet. After executing Evelyn in a manner resembling an execution-style killing, the brazen gunman did not flee immediately; instead, he spray-painted the letters “TCP” in large characters on the exterior wall of the house. Police stated that “TCP” stands for “Third Pure Command,” the second-largest drug trafficking gang originating from Rio de Janeiro. The assailant then sped away in a getaway vehicle, with the entire incident clearly intended as a warning and a show of territorial dominance.
